Conditions of Hire

  1. INITIAL PAYMENT Bookings will be confirmed in writing upon receipt of the deposit payment.
    If the booking is less than eight weeks from holiday commencement, then full payment is required.
  2. PAYMENT OF BALANCE The full balance will be due eight weeks prior to holiday commencement. We will write to you at this time requesting payment by return of post. We reserve the right to cancel bookings where full payment has not been received at six weeks prior to holiday commencement.
  3. BOOKING CANCELLATION Where cancellation is made with less than ten weeks notice then the full balance will be payable unless we can re-let the holiday in which case a refund will be paid, less deposit.
  4. AMENITIES Whilst every care has been made within 'The Pavilion' to create a safe and comfortable environment, it is expected that all holidaymakers
    will exercise caution and provide adequate supervision where neccessary to prevent injury or damage.
  5. HOLIDAYMAKERS' RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. NOISE: We have a very good relationship with our neighbours, please be aware that Sandsend is their home, they live here and should not encounter any disruption from 'The Pavilion'.Therefore please ensure that noise is keep to a minimum between the hours of 9pm and 8am.
    2. EVENTS:'The Pavilion' is a holiday cottage and not a party venue, please be considerate of the property, its contents and our neighbours during your stay.
    3. PARKING: It is very important that you park within the boundaries of the property. There is sufficient parking for three vehicles. Our neighbours require access to their properties at all times and therefore under no circumstance can you park outside of the allocated spaces which are clearly identified.
    ANY HOLIDAYMAKER FOUND TO BE CONTRAVENING ANY OF THE ABOVE RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE EVICTED FROM THE PROPERTY.
    The holidaymaker is responsible for the property and is expected to take all reasonable care of all chattels. Damages and breakages are the responsibility of the holidaymaker and will be deducted from the breakage deposit. The property must be left clean and tidy at the end of the holiday period.
  6. MOTOR CARS AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS Personal belongings, vehicles and their contents are at the holidaymakers' risk at all times. We do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage. When leaving the property at any time you must make sure all windows are closed and doors locked.
  7. AVAILABILITY In the very unlikely event of 'The Pavilion' being unavailable through events arising out of our control we may be forced to cancel the
    booking. A full refund will be made in these circumstances.
  8. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE Weekly holidays operate from Saturday 3pm to Saturday 10am.
    Long Weekend Breaks operate Friday 3pm to Monday 10 am.
    Flexible and Mid-Week breaks are available on request.
    Keys are available locally between 3pm and 5pm so if you predict late arrival please let us know and we can make alternative arrangements.
    The Pavilion must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure to allow for cleaning.
